Records Coordinator and Administrative AssistantContract – Maternity LeaveReporting to the Clerk, the Records Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, implementing, improving, andmaintaining the Town’s electronic and manual records management system in accordance with establishedstandards. The position holder will also provide a broad range of administrative assistance to the Town’sMayor, Clerk, and various other stakeholders in support of the effective and coordinated delivery of multiplemunicipal services. The ideal candidate will possess previous records management experience, a keen eye fordetail to adhere to established processes, policies and legislative requirements, and should pride themselveson their customer-service orientation and administrative capabilities. This is a contract position endingSeptember 2022.Qualifications Post-secondary studies, preferably in Records and Information Management and/or Business/OfficeAdministration. A demonstrated passion for the organization and classification of information. Experience with, and understanding of records lifecycles. Previous administrative experience gained in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Previous records management experience considered an asset. Understanding of and the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements. Demonstrated experience adhering to strict process/system requirements (i.e. in the acquisition,retention, or processing of applications, files, etc.). Technical computer proficiency in MS Office, Laserfiche and other applicable operating systems. Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with fellow employees and the generalpublic, as well as the ability to work independently as required. High degree of integrity due to exposure to confidential and/or sensitive information. Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task in an ever-changing work environment.
