Job Description

We provide equal opportunities for our people to achieve their career goals.We are currently seeking a Journeyman or Apprentice Instrumentation Technician, who has experience with oil & gas packages and is willing to work in Innisfail, AB! We’re looking for a candidate who is interested in being part of a growing and dynamic team, takes pride in their work and strives to be the best in the industry!Responsibilities:

  • Study blueprints, drawings, P&IDs, and specifications to determine the scope of work, tools required, and the sequence of tasks.
  • Install, calibrate, trouble-shoot and maintain process instrumentation, communication networks and control equipment including flow computers, tank gauging systems, custody transfer metering and associated equipment.
  • Completion of all new construction instrumentation tubing
  • Assistance with pipefitting duties, as required. Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install pipes, valves, and fittings into oil and gas packages.
  • Assistance with other instrumentation, pipefitting, and insulation duties within the department, as required.
  • Work safely and follow all required policies, procedures, and work practices.
Qualifications:
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Instrument Apprentice or Journeyman Instrument Certificate
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years previous experience with instrumentation construction within the industrial oil & gas sector
  • Experience running instrument tubing is required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, as required.
  • Ability to meet schedule deadlines and produce a quality product.
  • High attention to detail
