Chinook’s Edge School Division (CESD) invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of a full-time Student Services Coordinator in our South Zone, effective immediately. Reporting to the Associate Superintendent of Student Services, the Student Services Coordinator will provide system level leadership and support for schools with the coordination of education programs and services. This individual will collaborate with the Associate Superintendent of Student Services, Student Services Team members, Learning Services Team Members, Administrators, Learning Support Teachers (LSTs) and school staff in order to support high ‘Quality Learning Environments’(QLE) for students with diverse learning needs and to ensure all students achieve success in their educational program.The successful candidate will have a valid Alberta Teacher Certificate and five or more years of teaching experience. Knowledge of the Collaborative Response Model, universal, targeted, and specialized intervention strategies and program development is required. Advanced communication, collaboration, problem solving, and analytical skills are also required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience as a school-based leader or learning support teacher, and/or those who have completed or are working toward a Master’s degree in Education.We ask that applicants prepare both a cover letter and resume, complete with the names and telephone numbers of three current work related references.
