You can follow lab processes and procedures exactly, enter the associated data reliably and correctly, and discern subtle differences in samples including urinalysis. Innisfail Hospital and Care Centre is a busy site where you will work both independently and as part of a team utilizing your organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. The position includes days, evenings, weekends and on call duties. Conveniently situated on the Calgary-Edmonton Corridor, Innisfail is a thriving mid-sized community in what some may say is the perfect location. It’s just 15 minutes south of Red Deer and an hour north of Calgary. The town has many amenities including walking trails, golf course, theatre and a swimming pool. The Innisfail Health Centre is an acute care facility with an active emergency department. Rosefield Centre is a Seniors Facility which is attached to the Health Centre.Description:As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.
