Job Description

Böhringer Group is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of concrete batch plants, crushers, mining, mineral processing and recycling equipment. Böhringer has been on the cutting edge of super heavy-duty equipment technology for 75 years. Our plants are robust and capable of withstanding the harshest environmental conditions. We are looking for a Warranty & Service Coordinator to join our growing team in Innisfail.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the processing warranty claims and supporting customers with warranty & service support while maintaining the company position
  • Perform all tasks related to the installation testing, diagnosing, light duty correction of heavy equipment, wheel and track mobile equipment Cat engines undercarriage and engine components typically on-site at customer location and factory in Innisfail
  • Communicate with equipment owners for authorization of servicing and repairs
  • Coordinate service and repair of equipment in the shop and on-site commissioning for the customer
  • Coordinate the reconditioning and remanufacturing of damaged parts resulting from wear and tear
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers
  • Update and maintain service records
  • Maintain a professional company image at all times.
  • Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs on site or at point of return to factory
  • Administer the warranty claim process to maximize efficiency and return on warranty claims, ability to detect frivolous warranty claims
  • Understand the warranty policy, procedures and regulations
  • Develop and assist in implementing standardized warranty claim processes that minimize administrative time and maximize returns on warranty
  • Maintain warranty receivables of: < 1.5% of receivables over 60 days old and zero receivables over 90 days
  • Achieve 100% labour recovery on warranty claims
  • Ensure all parts claimed are paid according to manufacturer policy
  • Ensure an effective labour recovery on warranty claims
  • Provide appropriate accounting entry for shared responsibility between departments, manufacturers and customers
  • Provide support and training to clients in submitting quality claims to maximize warranty recovery
  • Ensure all product improvement programs are completed on schedule
  • Generate reports as requested
  • Follow up on completion of all warranty claims & service calls and update information in database
  • Work as one team
  • Be a brand ambassador representing the Böhringer equipment brand positively in the community
  • Manage ongoing relationships with customers and suppliers
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Trade certification, Journeyman Red Seal and/or currently registered in a related Provincial Apprenticeship program
  • 2+ years experience as a Warranty &/or Field Service Administrator/Coordinator preferably in the AGG or Concrete business, concrete or heavy equipment industry
  • A self-motivated individual who is independent and can work with little or no supervision
  • Someone who can effectively build rapport with others & provides exceptional customer service
  • Must be able to travel worldwide and posses a valid passport
  • Must be willing travel up to 50% of the time sometimes at short notice
  • The role for the correct applicant will evolve into permanent office-based role with light travel in 2-3 years once successor is recruited and trained by the applicant
