Sous l’autorité de la Direction des services communautaires, Aaniavituqarq (Centre de crise) et le Centre de réinsertion sociale sont des ressources régionales de traitement résidentiel pour les adultes vivant au Nunavik qui ont des problèmes de santé mentale et/ou des déficiences intellectuelles graves et persistants. Les deux centres offrent des programmes de jour ainsi que des services externes, y compris la supervision et la livraison des médicaments.Le gestionnaire de programme est responsable du fonctionnement général des deux centres, y compris la supervision directe des éducateurs. En étroite collaboration avec le Programme du sida social, les éducateurs jouent un rôle central dans les services résidentiels, de jour et externes aux adultes du Nunavik qui souffrent de maladies psychiatriques et/ou de déficiences intellectuelles.Under the authority of the Direction of Community Services and supervised by the Program Manager of Aaniavituqarq and Reintegration Center, the Educator is responsible for:1. Participating with a Social Aid in client intakes and informing the client of the rules and activities of the center.2. Providing observations and information concerning the psychosocial needs of clients.3. Planning, developing, and implementing intervention and individualized services plans for each client in concert with the client, his/her family, social aids, and other professionals.4. Developing personalized daily programs for the client with his/her participation.5. Leading required clinical activities.6. Completing clinical recording and client observation reports. Provide statistics.7. Modeling and demonstrating skills of residential care to the Social Aids.8. Supervising and participating directly in domestic activities such as preparing meals, eating meals, house chores, shopping, etc.;9. Providing support and direction to residents with various day-to-day living activities such as personal hygiene, health issues, budgeting money and paying bills, etc.).10. Supervising administration of prescribed medication for residents and day program participants.11. Monitoring clients reaction to medication and advise medical team on a regular basis.12. Supervising local staff and assisting in the management of clients behavior through proactive strategies targeting challenging behaviors.13. Promoting client participation in community activities of all kinds.14. Promoting positive relations between the Center, clients, and the community.15. Assuming responsibility for the safety of clients in all environments (at the Center, in the community, on fishing/hunting trips, etc.).16. When necessary, participating in physical intervention with clients who are aggressive and require restraint.17. Assuring smooth functioning of the day-to-day operation of the Center.18. Serving as a crucial link between the client, his/her family, medical and nursing services and other allied services and organizations.19. Providing regular feedback to the Program Manager.
