Job Description

Compensation:The wage for this position is $16.50 / hour. An end of season performance bonus of up to $1.00 for every regular hour worked once you complete your contractWhat will be your daily pursuit:This job ensures service standards are met and surpassed by creating the experience for customers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.What perks can you expect:

What will you do in this job:This job ensures service standards are met and surpassed by creating the experience for customers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Responsibilities include:
  • Delivering legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a “customers come first” attitude
  • Anticipating customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues
  • Assisting customers in the selection of specialty coffee beverages
  • Maintaining customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner
  • Following company recipes and standards, following health and safety sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Adhering to cash handling and register policies
  • Other duties as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job:
  • Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
  • Mature, energetic, dependable and self-motivated;
  • Natural ability to lead a team
  • Detail oriented with good communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Some accounting experience an asset and experience with Word and Excel
  • POS system experience is an asset
  • Cash handling experience
  • High volume experience
  • Handel stress in a professional manner
  • Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards
  • To honour our commitment to be “Always Honest” all employees must consent to a criminal record check
  • Previous Barista experience an asset
What will your work environment be like:This fun, summer job runs from April 30 until October 11, 2023.

  • Busy. You need to be prepared for a physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) required
