Job Description

JOB SUMMARYCook is responsible to cook meals according to the 5 Week Rotation at Villa Marguerite and Sprucewood Place Sites. POSITION A Permanent Full Time Position from Wednesday to Sunday at 10:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.This is a Unionized A.U.P.E. Position. LOCATIONVilla Marguerite - 9810 165 Street Northwest, Edmonton AB T5P 3S7DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cook meals according to the 5 week cyclical menu for Residents
  • Follow safe cooking practices
  • Assist in the ordering and receipt of food orders
  • Ensure meals are served in a pleasing and appetizing manner
  • Assist with Staff training
  • Cleaning food preparation areas and equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Minimum of one to three years of experience in a fast-paced, professional environment focused on delivering a superior culinary experience
  • Food Safe Level 1 Certification
  • Positive team player, effective communicator and actively fosters an environment of trust and collaboration
  • Interested in working in a professional environment guided by an experienced and passionate Executive Chef
PHYSICAL DEMANDSJob requires a significant amount of lifting, bending, walking, sitting and standing. Lifting 50-lbs. maximum. More frequent lifting of 20 lbs. or less.
