We value fostering and sustaining an environment of diversity and inclusion where everyone can reach their full potential.WHAT YOU WILL DOUnder the direction of the Assistant Manager, Accredited Silviculture Surveyors have a significant field component and are responsible for applying technical skills and knowledge when conducting silviculture projects, including planting implementation, silviculture surveys, treatment area layout, field assessments, and reporting. During the winter, work activities will shift to either office silviculture projects or timber development, including road and cutblock layout, cruising, and timber recce, subject to project priorities.These positions are flexible and have opportunity for either full-time, seasonal (April to November), or summer terms.WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • A safety conscious attitude;
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or currently enrolled in a post-secondary forestry program;
  • Silviculture Surveyor Accreditation;
  • Registered or eligible to be registered with the ABCFP or enrolled as a FIT or TFT;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of silviculture work experience and survey experience preferred;
  • Timber development experience would be an asset; and
  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

  • Effective problem solving with decision making skills.
