Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, proactive salesperson to join our team. This individual must possess excellent communication skills in customer relations, target new business and exceed established goals for their hotels in all market segment for multiple hotels. They will develop new client relationships to boost hotel sales and take the initiative to maintain and build upon the existing client base.   • Research and secure bid opportunities through direct sales calls, email, and telephone
  • Create accurate group proposals and contracts based on client needs and hotel policies
  • Respond in a quick, timely, and professional manner to all internal partners and external customers, and deliver clear and concise communication
  • Work cohesively with the front office teams and General Managers to communicate definite business booked, the details agreed upon to ensure success for our guests through the operations team
  • Analyze sales to determine profitability based on business on the books & opportunities in the market
  • Adhere to departmental budgets and prioritize resource allocations appropriately
  • Educate yourself on the individual brand policies and programs to foster and promote hotel patronage at all assigned properties
  • Identify and analyze competition, both locally and regionally to shift market share to our property
  • Continually work with the team to improve services and reach and exceed collective goals
  • Travel is required on occasion to connect with clients, for tradeshows, conferences & training
  • Foster a positive image of the hotels within the community
  • Generate business leads for other Mundi hotels in the company
  • Assist in the preparation of the Sales & Marketing plan when requested
  • Completing property RFP’s and bids by set deadlines
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs
  • Maintains sales database which includes sales calls, upcoming traces, history, and prospects.
  • Showcasing the properties to new & existing clients, to build & maintain positive and profitable relationships.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office and willing to learn and utilize a variety of hotel & sales computer software applications.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills to communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities for self.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle everyday situations professionally, quickly and effectively.
  • Has an outgoing personality, friendly, sincere, approachable & energetic with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Responsible, accountable as well as detail and goal oriented
  • A minimum of two years hotel sales experience and an excellent network of contacts are preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • No criminal record
  • Salary/Wage: est. 65000
