We are at an exciting stage of growth with a new Nursing and Population Health building that includes state of the art simulation labs. We are seeking dynamic team players to meet the educational needs of the healthcare system. Currently, the School of Nursing offers BScN, MN, PN (Williams Lake only), and HCA programs.The School of Nursing seeks applications for Tripartite tenure track positions with a potential start date of July 1, 2023.QUALIFICATIONSSuccessful candidates with a tripartite appointment will teach theory and practice courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs, have a developed program of research /scholarship and engage in service to the university and community.

  • PhD or other doctorate; consideration may be given to doctoral candidates who will complete their degree by the appointment date or shortly thereafter;
  • Evidence of funding or application for research/project funding;
  • Established program of scholarship/research;
  • Evidence of dissemination of research and scholarship through peer review publications and conferences;
  • Holds a minimum of one (1) degree in nursing;
  • Five (5) years full time or equivalent hours nursing experience;
  • Evidence of continuous learning in the field of expertise;
  • Experience teaching theory and clinical practice;
  • Experience with simulation learning environments is asset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • An understanding of, and experience in, the Canadian healthcare system;
  • Current BCCNM registration in good standing without limits or conditions, or eligibility for registration with BCCNM prior to appointment; and
  • Preference will be given to applicants with advanced education or practice in mental health, maternity, or community health.
