Job Description

Overview:In Business since 1919 and still growing, Arrow is a leader in bulk commodity hauling, reload operations, freight management, logistics, consulting, and technology with operations throughout Canada and the U.S.We are looking for a Loader Operator/Class One Driver to join our team at our New Afton site in Kamloops, BC.Great people work here!We Offer:

  • Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-6:00pm
Responsibilities:As Loader Operator, you will operate a front-end loader loading copper concentrate into containers and then load containers onto B train container frames.
  • Loading containers with copper concentrate.
  • Driving tractor and B trains trailers within New Afton mine property.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.
  • Shunt B train trailers.
  • Work in adherence to all safe work practices, procedures, as well as all regulatory requirements.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of yard, shop, department, or work crew.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
You Possess:
  • Minimum 2 years of previous loader operator experience is required
  • Class 1 Drivers Licence with a clean drivers abstract
  • A positive team attitude
  • A strong safety mindset
  • Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps, heat, wind)
