Job Description

Jacko Lake Pipe is currently looking for a responsible, safe, diligent, and dependable Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator you will support project needs by ensuring a safe and productive work environment. In this position, you willhave the opportunity to use different skills every day as you learn the concrete pipe industry and fill in for vacancies in various areas.What You Will Get to Do:

  • Operate heavy mobile equipment on plant property
  • Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas
  • Transport materials around work areas
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures; assist with physical inspections of plant property/departments.
  • Load Trucks safely and effectively
  • Be responsible for safe storage and inventory of finished product
Who We Are Looking For:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Formal training on heavy mobile equipment is an asset
  • Experience with concrete products
  • Experience using (or ability to learn) plant mobile equipment
  • Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team
  • Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of learning through task specific on the job training
  • Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
  • In good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain
  • Ability to work different extended hours, holidays, and/or overtime as required.
