Job Description

Are you an attention-to-the-details person with a proven history of responsibility, working well both with a team and independently, and resourceful and responsible If so, Kelson Group is looking for an Executive Assistant to join our team in Kamloops. This is a full-time position that reports to the President, Property Managers, and Marketing Director.Our company has been in operation for over 45 years and we have a track record within the industry of excellence for our extensive portfolio of properties in B.C. and Alberta, our community service, and for our commitment to employee development and growth. Our aim is to provide apartments to help our residents live better. As an Executive Assistant for Kelson Group, your work is to deliver outstanding support to the senior leadership team which is a huge part of how we support our front line people who help live out this promise for our residents every day.Responsibilities include performing clerical and administrative duties along with data entry, reporting and various projects. Preference will be given to those with a background in marketing, websites, and social media.MINIMUM EDUCATION / SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum Gr 12 diploma / GED and at least 3 years of related experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to become familiar with firm-specific software.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Strong organizational skills and forward thinking.
  • Friendly and professional with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Be accountable and dependable with good time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently within a team environment, with minimal supervision.
  • Able to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks for the President, Property Managers, and Marketing Director including the preparation of key reports, track competitive market data, assist with compliance of key operational activities, arrange travel plans, and general organizational assistance to our leadership team.
  • Successfully complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including filing and retrieving documents, personal correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the President’s ability to effectively lead the company.
  • Prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Help reach the company’s marketing goals and objectives with monthly reporting, analysing surveys and polls to look for patterns or trends.
  • Assisting & distributing in creating promotional materials, including brochures, blogs, social media, and marketing copy within branding guidelines and messaging.
  • Provide marketing assistance and support to off-site teams in various locations.
  • Organize and plan the production of all major marketing materials such as interior and exterior signage, posters and more by working closely with printers, sponsors, and other involved parties.
  • Help plan and promote the company’s marketing strategies, messaging, and promotions.
  • Understand and comply with all Kelson Group policies and procedures.
  • Engage in any educational or training programs offered by the company.
  • Any other assigned duties that may arise.
