Job Description

POSITION SUMMARYAs a key member of our team, the Expeditor & Assistant helper will act as a liaison between the culinary and service team, must have enough stamina to be in constant motion and skills (excellent listener) to coordinate and organise processes and people. This position is ideal for an individual who is looking to change their career or as a second job, or part-time as a student or wants to start a career in hospitality.Individuals must be comfortable with people of different personalities when working in a team and taking on new challenges.ABOUT MAURYA’SWe are a premium casual craft bar and kitchen with love for Lucknow, India : fresh local hometown cuisine and excellent creative craft cocktails. We work in dozens of verticals, and are looking for all sorts of talent in the f&b industry as well as partnerships, suppliers, marketers etc.OBJECTIVES

  • Managing efficient flow of orders; deliveries, pickup & table orders.
  • Packaging orders with accuracy before order deadline.
  • Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority.
  • Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature.
  • Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request).
  • Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning.
  • Assisting in maintenance/refling required items as per business flow (e.g. cutlery polish, cooler refill, checklist follow etc. but not limited to his/her assigned duties).
  • Handle complaints from clients to preserve the restaurant’s reputation.
  • Support other tasks as needed (e.g. telephone orders).
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Proven experience as a food expeditor or other restaurant position is an asset.
  • Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant.
  • Dexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils and carrying heavy trays.
  • Well-organised and ability to lead and direct people aswells as to be an excellent listener.
  • Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Multilingual (Hindi & English) is preferred.
  • Great physical endurance.
  • Positive mindset.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma; Higher degree in hospitality or relevant field will be appreciated.
  • MS Office.
