The Long-Haul Driver is responsible for delivering freight safely and efficiently to customers across BC, Alberta and North/Western USA pulling a 53 quad trailer. The productivity of the driver (including effectiveness, efficiency and safety) is critical for overall fleet productivity to ensure that deliveries are made to customers without delays or incidents. The driver reports to the dispatcher and keeps open communication lines.Must be able to work under the following conditions: Adhere to all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures (both governmental and fleet-specific) - Be aware of extended periods of time in vehicle (driving and bunking required) - endure physical demands associated with periods of standing, sitting, bending, crouching, stooping; frequent lifting of moderately heavy items, and tarping. - able to operate in all types of weather.Good communications skills are required, including written and verbal instructions in English, and ability to relate and interact with others in the workplace, at the home terminal, with suppliers and with customers.Must be comfortable with computer and electronic devices such as GPS, cellular phones, and electronic log tablets.Qualifications: The incumbent driver must:Possess a valid class1 commercial drivers license and air brake endorsement; -have a current passport or enhanced drivers license to cross Canada/US border and have no previous charges which will not allow crossing at the border; - pass the employment drug and alcohol screening (and random testing during employment); - provide copy of current drivers abstract.Reference ID: 2021-12KLEJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per yearBenefits:
