Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good understanding of Health and Safety Legislation, Policies and Practices
  • Ability to lift weights up to 20 kilos
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Assistant Customer Service Manager
  • Expert knowledge of POS terminals with a minimum of 2 years experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Detailed knowledge of the concepts of the file maintenance system and front-end point of sale equipment
  • Good working knowledge of payroll, invoices, document retention, FIFO, scheduling and front-end supervision
  • Ability to troubleshoot and/or assist staff with troubleshooting and issue resolution
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To control front-end wage and wrapping costs
  • To order and maintain front end supplies and candy stock
  • To follow, investigate and enforce cash handling procedures
  • To implement training and development programs for front-end staff
  • First point of contact for any front end related issues
  • To promote the policy of good customer service relations through fast, friendly front-end service
  • To review and update (as required) front-end security procedures as directed by the Loss Prevention Department
  • To ensure Health and Safety Legislation, Policies and Practices are followed within the department
  • To assist in resolving employee personnel related matters
  • Perform cashiering duties at various times throughout the day.
