Job Description

H.I.S. Wildfire FS Inc. are looking for an expereienced, reliable and hard working individual to lead our year-round landscaping and property maintenance team. As a crew leader, youll have the opportunity to take part in, and oversee, a variety of projects within Kamloops and surrounding areas.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lawncare and maintenance (mowing, trimming, pruning)
  • Site clean-up (garbage removal etc.)
  • Work on selective vegetation management using mulcher, chainsaws, mowers, etc
  • Performance of other duties as assigned or required
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
  • Ability to adhere to all standards under the Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as Municipal policies, and WHMIS guidelines
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely under stressful conditions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team, with co-workers and the public
  • Strong work ethic
  • Positive attitude and highly motivated
Certifications and Requirements
  • 2+ years experience leading a landscaping crew
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license - Required
  • Standard First Aid Certificate - Required
Preference given to those with:
  • Horticulture certificate (or equivalent)
  • Chainsaw certification
  • Pesticide Applicator ticket
Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $24.00-$35.00 per hourBenefits:
