Job TitleMaintenance Technician (Part-time)Job Description SummaryGeneral Description: This is a part-time position responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair and upkeep of the Shopping Centre.Job DescriptionPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:Perform preventative and minor maintenance on mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and other equipment as requiredGrass cutting and minor landscaping work, including irrigation systemsSnow removal from sidewalks & entrances using manual and power equipmentAssist in providing basic first aid in medical emergencies and Respond to emergency situations as required (i.e. power outage, fire, etc.)Set-up & take-down of mall displays and décorPerform minor repairs on lights, doors, locks, washroom fixtures, drywall, paint, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, concrete and asphalt and other areas/equipment as required to maintain the health and safety standardsKeep all vehicles and equipment clean and regularly maintained.Maintain the upkeep of all mechanical and electrical rooms.Inspect & maintain the operation of fire alarm and building automation systems.Various other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.Customer ServiceKnowledge/Skills/Competences:Secondary School DiplomaAbility to operate equipment and hand-power tools applicable to the role including but not limited to tractor, lawnmower, snowblower, trimmer, ect.Ability to work independently and with other team members as necessaryExperience in minor building repairs including electrical, plumbing, drywall and paintingStrong interpersonal and communication skillsFlexibility and AdaptabilityExperience in operation & maintenance of the following systems: HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, sprinklers.Physical Requirements
