Job Description

We are currently recruiting Ore Sample Plant Technicians to join our growing team at the Elk Gold Project located between Merritt and Kelowna, BC.   • Positions are ‘Point of Hire’ – offering no LOA or Travel Allowance
  • Preference for applicants to reside in Kamloops, British Columbia
General Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Collecting Ore Sample Information
  • Track and document Ore and Sample Chain of Custody on and off site
  • Track and document Crushing and Ore Sampling, Ore Assays and Ore Shipments
  • Accurately complete MS Office reports, maintenance logs and other documentation as required
  • Ensure all relevant information is collected and documented
  • Delivery of samples to the Lab
  • Assist with running the sample plant
  • Communicate with co-workers
  • Oblige to Health and Safety Procedures and Processes
  • Follow equipment maintenance schedule and advise if repair is required
  • Perform other related tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • Fluent in English
  • Class 5 Drivers License
  • Mechanical Aptitude and ability to work with Crushing and sampling equipment
  • Some previous administrational experience OR completion of a college program in related field
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
  • Must possess initiative, be a self-starter and have a high attention to detail
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and handling up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in an environment with tight and often unpredictable and/or conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent writing, communication, organizational, prioritization and time-management skills
  • Ability to work with general equipment such as desktops, fax machines, photocopiers, scanners, video conferencing and telephone systems
  • Ability to travel to and from mine site and lab (Kamloops) daily
  • Strict attention and compliance with equipment cleanliness, maintenance and completing logs
