Job Description

RiverBend Manor is an independent living residence for seniors. We are looking to hire a part time Dietary Aide to assist in the dining room to provide three daily meals.Duties of the position include:

  • Delivery of plated meals to residents seated at their table
  • Plating and serving meals and desserts
  • Preparing and serving coffee, tea, water, juice, milk
  • Clear tables, wash dishes and general clean-up
  • Topping up condiments
This position is best suited for individuals who:
  • Are reliable and dependable
  • Are patient, friendly, and flexible
  • Are respectful of and sensitive to the needs and habits of tenants
  • Are team players
  • Possess initiative, planning, organizing and problem solving skills
  • Desire to work with elderly people
  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills particularly with elderly people
  • Are willing and able to learn new skills and procedures
  • Are physically able to work full shifts on feet
  • Are comfortable working in an occasionally chaotic environment
Qualifications:
  • Experience handling and serving food safely in a commercial or industrial kitchen
  • Current Food Safe certificate
  • Whimis 2015
  • Experience operating kitchen equipment including industrial dishwasher, toaster, coffee machines
  • Demonstrable record of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with workmates
  • Able to transport self to and from the worksite
Hours of work:
  • 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
  • 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • 11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
  • Rotating four on and two off
Part-time hours: 24 per weekJob Type: Part-timeSalary: $17.03-$18.73 per hourBenefits:

Experience:
