Job Description

ROLE :The QC Inspector is responsible for gathering field data and completing inspections on planned and completed works as directed by the QC Lead. The QC Inspector works with assigned crews to complete quality records and provides the QC Administrator with the records for turnover packages.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and inspect work undertaken by assigned crews
  • Ensure records are accurate, legible and completed as required
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes and procedures
  • Liaise with client inspectors on field quality issues
Note: in addition to these duties personnel are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in order to support the objectives of the Company.:POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Qualifications Welding QC Inspector
  • CSA 178.2 Certification CWB Level I
  • CSA 178.2 Certification CWB Level II is considered an asset
Technical Diploma/Certificate pertaining to the relevant discipline is considered an asset.Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in field quality inspection.
  • Additional relevant site experience in the oil and gas construction industry is considered an asset.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Understanding of the oil and gas construction industry (preferably pipeline/facility construction).
  • Ability to read and understand relevant construction documents including drawings, specifications, procedures, and codes of practice.
WORKING CONDITIONS:This position is field based and often works within remote project locations. Travel and/or living in temporary accommodations is required.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:The QC Inspector reports to the QC Lead. The position has no supervisory duties.Quick Apply
