Job Description

The restaurant server will be responsible for maintaining a positive work environment in ROMEOs Kitchen + Spirits and high customer service standards. Restaurant servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our customers have exceptional dining experiences. At all times servers are making guests feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.*Reports ToServer reports directly to the Supervisor on duty.**Job Specific Knowledge Required

• General Responsibilities

• Start guests with ice water and water carafe

• Inform tables of my name, daily specials and the Chef’s plate

• Take food and beverage orders

• Suggest enhancements to elevate dining experience

• Ask guests if their are any allergies at the table

• Record the order and repeat it back to the guest

• Ring in orders by seat numbers

• Execute proper wine service

• Table maintenance

• Deliver food by seat number

• Quality check tables

• Pre-buss tables with any item not in use

• Pre-set tables with what guests will need for each course

• Tables will be clean and ready to go for the next customer in under 5 minutes

• Use a tray when carrying glassware

• Participate in pre shift and knowing important notes for the day/night

• Maintain guest check average goals

• Say goodbye to every guest that is leaving

• Maintains ROMEOs high cleanliness standards

• Ensure opening and closing tasks are completed

• Ensure Weekly cleaning tasks are completed

• Take pride in your section

• Tables, chairs and floor clean, tables sturdy, walls clean, cutlery tight, menus clean and set all the same

**Assisting Other Staff

• Run food and beverage items when asked by management

• Help staff members complete buffet tear downs and set ups

• Help buss and reset tables when asked by management or if a fellow staff member

• Help greet and seat guests

• Assist bartender in making drinks or serving guests

• Answering the phone

**Hard Skills & Qualifications

• 1-year experience in similar position

• General math knowledge

• Serving it Right certification

• Has a full knowledge of all food and beverage items produced and sold from ROMEOs

• Ensures presentation of all food meets and exceeds ROMEOs standards for freshness, appearance and consistency when running food

• Balance all cash and charges at the end of every shift and complete cash drops with supervisor in accordance to ROMEOs protocol

• Protects the establishment by adhering to strict policies on serving alcohol

• Must be committed to maintaining high customer service standards

• Completion of ROMEOs Kitchen + Spirits WorkSafe training

• On time for all shifts ready to work at scheduled times

**Payment Structure & Hours works

• This position can be full time or part time and consists of mornings, evenings, nights & weekends

• Minimum availability - 2 days per week

• Minimum Wage

• Vacation Pay: 4% of gross hourly (can be banked or paid out per paycheck)

• Paid Sick Days: 5 per calendar year after your 3-month probationary period
