The area provides the opportunity to live and work in a vibrant community with its own university and within easy reach of world class ski resorts, championship golf courses, mountain biking trails, popular recreational lakes and award-winning vineyards.About the RoleSchedule: 40 hours per week, flexible options availablePosition Reports To: Health & Safety ManagerPosition OverviewThe successful applicant will be responsible for a variety of coordination, program management, and administrative based tasks.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as Site Owner for the internal Health & Safety SharePoint Site (create and configure sites/subsites, manage content & access, enhance the site)Accurate monthly safety performance statistic reporting including key performance indicator and corrective action tracking;Coordination of New Afton’s Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee and monthly minute recording;Departmental invoice receiving and purchase requisition development through SAP;Management of INX InControl reporting system as site systems administrator; this includes back end maintenance of the system, report creation, and conducting training as required;Management of the site Musculoskeletal Disorder Recognition & Prevention program including facilitating/ coordinating ergonomic requests;Injury management support / assistance;Departmental document control including SOP/SWP reviews and library management;Coordinate and conduct monthly check-in meetings with Security;Maintain pertinent safety records such as fire extinguisher check sheets, job hazard analysis, and regular entry of procedure review records;Aid in the creation, review and distribution of safety communications and training materialsProvide support to training coordinator and safety advisors when required;Conduct annual budgeting and business planning for areas of responsibility;Supporting Health & Safety team and initiatives.QualificationsBachelor’s in business management or any related fieldORGrade 12 or equivalent with 3 years of administrative experienceExperience with software systems including but not limited to: SAP, Ariba, Concur, INX and SharePointProficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft SharePoint OnlineHealth & Safety certificate or Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee experience would be considered an assetStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating adaptabilityDetail oriented with an eye for accuracyTeam player/ positive attitudeExperience managing WorkSafe claims and return to work coordination is considered an assetTraining / certification in Ergonomics is considered an assetOther RequirementsCandidates will be required to participate in a comprehensive qualification process, including:Successful completion of pre-placement functional screenProvide proof of a valid Class 5 driver’s licenseDemonstrate eligibility to work in CanadaProvide confirmation of valid educational requirementsCompensationA competitive salary, performance bonus plan and benefits will be provided.
