BCWS has approximately 350 full-time staff and over 1700 seasonal employees.The Predictive Services Unit (PSU) consists of a multidisciplinary team within Wildfire Operations consisting of fire behaviour specialists, fire weather forecasters, and technology specialists who collect, synthesize, and interpret complex data and provide expertise in high-impact wildfire risk evaluations. The PSU develops innovative products, services, and technology solutions to advance risk-based, data driven decision making for wildfire prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.The Predictive Services Specialist conducts wildfire research, performs complex data analysis, and produces reports and other information material to inform preparedness planning and operational response strategies.
