Equivalent combination would include a minimum of 5 years of water allocation experience.Experience in natural resource management and related acts and regulations, preferably relating to the administration of the Water Sustainability Act of British Columbia.Successful completion of security screening requirements of the BC Public Service, which may include a criminal records check, and/or Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA) check, and/or enhanced security screening checks as required by the ministry (Note: It is important that you read the job posting carefully to understand the specific security screening requirements pertaining to the position).Preference may be given to applicants with:Experience working in water management, preferably relating to water allocation.Experience working with key statutes that support water management, preferably relating to water allocation.Experience working with legislation and policies related to water management.Experience using hydrologic principles, concepts, and analytical techniques.ProvisosWillingness to conduct field work which may include travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, overnight or extended stay in rough camp conditions and outdoor work in all weather conditions.Must obtain or immediately be able to obtain a Class 5 B.C. driver’s licence.Must be physically able to carry equipment and supplies in difficult terrain.May be required to operate field equipment (i.e., quad, snowmobile).Applicants selected to move forward in the hiring process may be assessed on the Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies as outlined in the attached Job Profile located in the Additional Information section at the bottom of the posting.A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:Cover Letter: NO - Please do not submit a cover letter as it will not be reviewed.Resume: YES - A resume is required as part of your application, however, it may not be used for initial shortlisting purposes.Questionnaire (COMPREHENSIVE): YES - As part of the application process, you will be prompted to complete a comprehensive online questionnaire to demonstrate how you meet the job requirements.
