Job Description

Global is a leader in traffic safety technology and continuously developing the latest and greatest to make the streets safer.   • This position will start as an APO II with potential to transition to an APO I for Spring 2023
  • This position is in Kananaskis and is required to be on-site
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Under supervision, monitoring Kananaskis park pass compliance with Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) equipment
  • Operate within the enforcement guidelines
  • Visit various locations throughout Kananaskis Country as directed by the team leader
  • Professional interaction with the public
  • Uploads / Notes / Review
  • Attend Court when necessary and ensure evidence and Court procedures are conducted to a professional standard.
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum 5+ years experience as a level one Community Peace Officer or Police Officer experience
  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in law enforcement
  • Must meet all the requirements of the Alberta Solicitor General Department to obtain a level one Peace Officer Appointment
  • EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) or equivalent
  • Previous experience and training with PPCT, Baton / OC spray mandatory
  • Standard First Aid/CPR
  • Experience working with various Alberta Provincial Statutes, Municipal Bylaws, Traffic Safety Act, and other job specific training and experience
  • You must have the ability to work independently and conduct yourself in a mature and professional manner
  • Must have the ability to work well with others, coordinate schedules, and communicate
  • Valid class 5 Alberta Driver’s License
  • Must have a clean drivers abstract
  • Attention to detail and taking notes
  • Dealing with difficult people
  • Technology savvy
  • Displays a positive, cheerful, and helpful attitude
This position is full-time, temporary (6 to 8 months with potential for extension) and will be based in Kananaskis Country.Quick Apply
