Job Description

Ski Patrol Mountain B-BoyOur guests’ safety is your number one priority. You take pride in providing guests with the best vacation and recreation experience possible. Whether you want to work indoors or outdoors, no day will ever be the same. You will work closely with our Pro Patrol Team, participating in training programs. Ensuring slopes and ski ways are free of any possible hazards.You will:

  • Maintain all aspects of the slopes and trail boundaries, signage, tower pads and hazard markings and other tasks related to opening and closing of the slopes and trails daily.
  • Liaise in emergency situations, communicating with key contacts until situation is resolved.
  • Place and remove signs, fences, bamboo and other trail and hazard markings.
  • Conduct pre-opening sweeps of all slopes and trails prior to opening to public.
  • Conduct closing sweep of all slopes and trails after closing to the public.
  • Participation in training of the various aspects of Ski Patrol.
  • Assist with Emergency Lift evacuation.
  • Monitor and report on trial and weather conditions and advise on run closures / signage.
You:
  • Have current certification in medial first aid
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task under stress or time pressure.
  • Are physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Demonstrate advanced skiing ability and comfort accessing all levels of terrain.
  • Have previous ski hill experience - an asset.
  • Have safe rope skills - an asset.
  • Have lift evacuation knowledge - an asset.
