This position works as the key contact and advisor for compliance and enforcement activities within their assigned area, maintaining databases and conducting reviews and risk assessments on individual licensed establishments. Inspectors inform themselves of issues and trends by analyzing data to develop strategies to ensure compliance and maintain positive relationships with licensed establishments to assist licensees in complying with regulations and legislation. Based on program needs, the Liquor and Cannabis Inspector may be assigned as the primary inspector for compliance and enforcement activities relating to liquor manufacturing or another portfolio as necessary.
