Job Description

Our client, Executive Accounting Services, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a part time basis. As the owner of Executive Accounting Services, Rick Keller, CPA is passionate about providing a more personal approach to clients and believes in holistically helping their businesses grow and succeed.As an experienced bookkeeper, you are a self-starter who has the proven ability to work effectively within a team and you will add value by supporting the growth of the firm and addressing client questions and challenges in a timely manner. Your communication skills are above average, and you strive for operational excellence. As a highly organized individual, you are motivated by having several projects on the go at once and thrive in a fast-paced, active environment.Responsibilities will include:

  • Full cycle bookkeeping;
  • Preparation of GST/HST and PST returns;
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit cards statements, and all other balance sheet accounts;
  • Process payroll and WCB returns as required;
  • Other day to day administrative tasks, such as scanning and year end file preparation.
5 or more years bookkeeping, preferably in a public practice environment; Sound working and technical knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and applications; Must have previous experience and be fully confident working with Sage 50; Knowledge of QuickBooks, CaseWare and Profile is an asset; Strong computer literacy, including MS Office Suite; exceptional Excel skills required; Ability to communicate with effectively clients; “Can-do”, positive disposition; someone who takes pride in a job well done is perfect for this role! As we imagine the possibilities of this role, the ideal candidate will work 3 days a week with the possibility of taking on more hours in the future.
