Job Description

Overview:Peak Cellars and O’Rourke Family Estate are located in beautiful Lake Country, BC, surrounded by vineyards, orchards, and beautiful mountain views. We are currently recruiting for Chef de Partie for our Goldie Road location.Job Duties:

  • Demonstrate exemplary culinary skills through leadership over key culinary stations in the kitchen.
  • Ensure the consistency and quality of all meals created.
  • Set up station to EC standards.
  • Maintain a clean work station to EC standards.
  • Maintain FIFO practices.
  • Maintain communication with the Executive Chef on all things kitchen related.
  • Uphold safety and hygiene to EC high standards.
  • Assist Executive Chef and Sous Chef with functions and daily evolving tasks.
  • Create specials and daily fresh sheets.
  • Maintain accountability for brigade.
  • Assist the Sous Chef with ordering and receiving of ingredients.
Job Requirements:
  • Excellent technical knowledge of contemporary cooking styles and ingredients.
  • Arrive to work on time.
  • Clean uniform.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Physically able to reach, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of times.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions.
  • Food Safe Level 1.
  • Red Seal or equal cooking certification required.
