Duties and Responsibilities :WE'RE BUILDING A COMMUNITY OF BRILLIANT PROBLEM SOLVERS.Our team in Kelowna, BC provides electrical, instrumentation, system integrator, engineering, and contracting services and is looking to add an additional Control System Programmer and System Designer to their team.We are looking for a talented individual to hire as an Electrician Apprentice. First or second year experience preferred.ROLEAs an electrician apprentice, you would be expected to:Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to plan wiring layouts.Fabrication of electrical equipment to CSA Industrial Control Equipment Standards.Installation of electrical equipment on various worksites.Install, replace and repair electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels.Installation of electrical instruments.Test circuits using test equipment.Troubleshoot and service existing equipment.Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty parts.Connect electrical power to equipment, signaling devices and PLC control systems.Perform work in a manner consistent with plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks.Other duties as assigned.Long-term employees with a strong work ethic and desire for career advancement.Conducive to working in a fast paced environment.BENEFITSCompetitive salary and benefits.RRSP match / EIP incentive after probationary period.Job training and apprentice programs.High safety standards.Year round indoor/outdoor work.Growing company that frequently promotes from within.Qualifications :Valid Drivers Licence and Abstract.Must have transportation to get to/from work site.Confined space, fall protection and aerial workplace platform training an asset.Minimum qualifications include passing CENTRIX’s background checks, and ability to drive (must be able to provide current driver’s abstract which shows you are in good standing).To apply for this role, please send your resume to ap.kelowna@centrixcs.com.CENTRIX is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible candidate experience.
