As of right now, the brands and businesses under the Jillian Harris Design Inc. include Jilly Academy, Jilly Box, Eleven Acres Farm, Jilly Digital, Jillian Harris Design, York & James, and potentially more in the future!As the Financial Controller, you will be working closely with Jennifer Bickley, our Chief Financial Officer and Kristy Calvert, our Finance & HR Administration Manager. We are looking for someone who has exceptional organizational skills, a high level of integrity, and a proven track record of strong problem-solving and analytical skills.THE OPPORTUNITY:

• Cost accounting for multiple departments within the company.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and draft bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for accounts payable, inventory tracking, revenue cycle reporting, and reconciliations & billing.
• Assist with building the annual budget and overall budget management.
• Presenting analytics on financial performance.
• Assist with payroll and compliance reporting.
• Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Monitor and provide insights into purchasing behaviour and trends.
• Help us achieve our philanthropy goals and work towards our BCorp certification.

The Jillian Harris Design team is excited to build their team in Kelowna, BC. The ideal candidate will be located in Kelowna or willing to relocate.THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING:

• CPA designation with 4 or more years of accounting-related experience
• Experience with costing & inventory management is an asset
• Experience with sales tax reporting (US sales tax experience would be an asset)
• Interest in implementing strong policies and procedures
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve problems independently
• Drive to improve the status quo and contribute to the success of the business overall

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000Perks at Jillian Harris Design:
