Job Description

Stewart Irrigation Inc. is a family owned and operated business serving the Okanagan since 1979, building strong positive long term relationships with our customers. With over 40 years experience our company continues to grow and we are seeking honest, reliable, hardworking individuals with experience in the Irrigation/Landscaping field to join our professional team.*Qualifications: *

  • Possess a BC Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Must be bondable
  • Able to get to job site
  • Able to share feedback as well as receive it
  • Previous Irrigation/Landscaping experience preferred, but willing to train
  • Physically Fit
  • Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Time Management Skills - Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner while providing quality work
  • Troubleshooting/Problem Solving Skills
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail - making sure customers are satisfied
  • Ability to work productively both independently as well as with a team safely and efficiently
  • Ability to use/operate various tools and equipment both safely and effectively
  • Excellent communication and handwritten skills
  • Well organized
  • Flexible
  • Able to follow instruction and direction from employer as well as customers
  • Ability to treat customers, teammates and employer with respect
  • Positive Attitude
  • Willing to work weekends as needed
  • Eager to learn new skills

  • Ability to interact with customers on a daily basis
Irrigation Duties:
  • Irrigation Installations
  • Spring Start Ups
  • Service Calls - Maintenance and repairs of irrigation systems including some upgrading
  • Irrigation Troubleshooting
  • Dig trenches
  • Maintain job sites
  • Provide detailed information on service sheets of work completed, detail of materials used, as well as, make notes of any upgrade suggestions or requests by customer
Landscaping Duties:
  • Concrete Curbing - Assist with mixing and pouring of concrete
  • Laying of turf or seed
  • Use of sod cutter
  • Spread and level topsoil
  • Assist in interlocking bricks
  • Assist with Allen Block retaining walls
  • Gravel walkways
  • Mulching
  • Maintain job sites
  • Digging as required
  • Planting of trees or shrubs
  • Landscape Lighting
  • Landscape Edging
