The Opportunity:The IT System Administrator provides the IT tools and expertise needed to support user productivity. You will be responsible to maintain a consistent and stable environment, including Microsoft 365, hardware, software and office equipment standards, provide user training and support. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should be organized and detail oriented to monitor systems, track trends and document progress. You should have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and provide viable solutions to a variety of IT problems.As IT System Administrator you will:
  • Maintain a clean, consistent and well-structured IT environment. Monitor systems, analyse logs, identify trends, address issues and make recommendations
  • Establish end user hardware, software and office equipment standards, and work collaboratively to implement them
  • Perform software upgrades, debug software and run diagnostics as needed
  • Implement cyber security measures through access controls, user training and technology solutions
  • Install, configure and deploy end user hardware and software
  • Provide user orientation and train staff on existing tools and technologies
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems
  • Document issues, track progress, maintain records/logs of inventory, repairs and fixes
  • Support the implementation and integration of new enterprise systems and technology
  • Other project work, as assigned by management
As IT System Administrator you bring:
  • BSc in Computer Science or related, or proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role. Professional certification, e.g. Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) is a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of end user hardware, software, printing, office productivity tools and cyber security products. Specific tools include Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft 365, Teams, Adobe products, TrendMicro, etc.
  • Critical thinking: ability to understand situations and see problems before they happen
  • Good planning skills, resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to communicate clearly via chat, email, phone and display strong listening skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
  • Curiosity, enthusiasm and a passion for technology
