JOB SUMMARY:As a Laundry Attendant you will be responsible for the daily running of the laundry equipment, maintaining a high standard in the finished results of all room and food and beverage linens. Daily check on all laundry chemicals as well as maintaining a safe work environment. Maintain open communication with Laundry day shift and co-workers on all ideas and concerns.Job Requirements:Must be available to work overnight shifts: 10:30pm – 6:30am, varying days of the weekRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • To ensure that all linens are maintained to Manteo standards
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all staff
  • Have knowledge of equipment and chemicals
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained
  • Operate an efficient and effective Laundry room
  • Check on laundry chemicals
  • Maintain daily cleaning tasks
  • Operate all Laundry equipment in a safe manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Self starter and able to work unsupervised
  • Communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must have time management skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Well organized
  • Able to problem solve
  • Knowledge of laundry equipment and chemicals
  • Must be responsible, flexible, punctual and efficient
  • Must be able to work in a team oriented environment
  • Must be able to work weekends
