This position is an entry level position that will allow the successful candidate to learn how to operate machinery in a metal shop and assist with daily department tasks, like preparing materials for machining. No experience is required and we are willing to train you in many areas of the shop. Success Factors

• Ability to demonstrate Grade 12 level math skills required
• General mechanical aptitude and experience with computers is required
• Ability to learn how to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate machinery is required
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. required
• Work environment is climate controlled, indoors
• A strong work ethic with a positive approach to working with others required
• Appropriate PPE, including CSA approved footwear required. Non-custom hearing and eye protection will be supplied by AEM. AEM will reimburse a portion of the cost of approved safety footwear and custom eye protection in accordance with company policy.
