Job Description

Overview:O’Rourke Family Vineyards Ltd offers a fantastic opportunity to join our team as our Okanagan Sales Manager in Lake Country, BC. We offer a friendly, fast-paced environment with competitive wages, great benefits, and a strong team of professionals.Description:Reporting to the General Manager, the job of an Okanagan Sales Manager is to develop and implement sales strategies with the goal of improving wine sales and brand recognition.Responsibilities:The responsibilities of an Okanagan Sales Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain & build relationship with existing accounts from Osoyoos to Kamloops.
  • Set up appointments with new accounts.
  • Work closely with shipping/warehouse logistics to ensure stock is available, delivered, and accounted for.
  • Manage stock transfers.
  • Liaise with BC & Alberta sales companies on special projects and account maintenance.
  • Support on site Events.
  • Learn the tasting room daily operations to assist when required.
  • Attend events on behalf of the winery.
  • Product launch planning – market strategy and placement.
  • Liaise with Save On Foods and BCLDB when required.
  • Host VIP groups & accounts at wineries.
  • Develop and execute sale initiatives in the local market – seasonally driven.
  • Travel out of province for events & shipments.
  • Support wine club events & shipments.
  • Inventory count and controls, shipping and transfers.
  • Department budgeting & allocation.
  • Award submissions.
  • Shipping to USA.
  • Registration into new provinces.
  • Ensure shipping orders are fulfilled, as needed.
  • Develop & communicate standard operating procedures for excellence in the industry.
  • Develop new marketing strategies to grow our account base.
  • Arrange for in market visit for winemakers & dinners.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Weekend availability/flexible working hours.
  • Reliable form of transporation.
  • At least 2 years of previous Sales experience.
  • WSET Level 2+ an asset.
