Job Title: Recruitment Specialist - Job ID# 305Job Category:Professional office staff/managementOrganization Name:Sutherland Group EnterprisesLocation: KelownaProvince/State:BCJob Type:Full Time, PermanentRecruitment SpecialistThe Sutherland Group of Companies is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to provide full cycle recruitment throughout the organization. This individual will work with hiring managers across all the companies in our group and develop our recruitment infrastructure and practices to an industry leading level.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Work with the HR Manager and hiring managers to identify upcoming talent needs and proactively develop sourcing plans.
  • Assist in development of the overall recruitment strategy.
  • Configure and maintain Applicant Tracking System for all assigned roles.
  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
  • Ensure all actions incorporate “Sutherland Group Enterprise’s Core Values” of Curious and Adaptable, Trustworthy, Humbly Confident, Better Together and Make it Happen.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate platforms (job boards, educational institutions, industry associations, etc).
  • Use existing and new social media channels to promote our employment brand through engagement or response to inquiries.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards and the needs of the organization.
  • Assist with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screen applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Coordinate onboarding and hire-on paperwork for new employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
  • Plan or attend recruitment events to meet the needs of the Sutherland Group.
  • Build relationships with WorkBC representatives, employment agencies and other third-party sources of candidates.
  • Promote company’s reputation as “an employer of choice”.
  • Attend networking events that are relevant to our industry and recruitment.
  • Stay informed of recruiting trends and practices and make recommendations when new programs may be in the best interest to the Sutherland Group
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Proven recruitment experience.
  • Certification/Degree in Human Resources or verifiable experience in a related role.
  • CPHR or RPR designations would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (Breezy preferred).
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
