Job Description

Independent Energy is looking for a detail-oriented, talented Administrative Assistant - Production Facility and Operations Support who is obsessed with outstanding service, self-motivated, and results-oriented. If this sounds like you, please submit your resume and cover letter today!The Administrative Assistant - Production Facility and Operations Support will be the primary point-person responsible for supporting the Plant Manager.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures
  • Order office supplies and research new vendors and suppliers
  • Maintain contact lists
  • Logistics – track and maintain truckling slips daily
  • Book travel arrangements
  • Submit and reconcile expense reports
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Maintain a clean office environment, light cleaning, and office organization periodically
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Liaise with Head Office EA & Office Manager to handle requests and queries from senior managers
  • Liaise with Head Office Human Resources Manager
General Requirements:
  • The Administrative Assistant position is a full-time, position based in Kerrobert, SK.
  • Responsibilities for the role are based on a 40-hour workweek, however, job performance is not based on time served but on results achieved. Variations of this routine are possible relative to workload, timelines, deadlines, special projects, etc. When necessary, overtime work will be required.
  • Support the vision and mission of the Company and be a model of the core values in all business contexts.

Key Requirements:
  • A degree or diploma/certificate from a recognized institution in a related field would be an asset.
  • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft office applications. Advanced competency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • 5+ years work experience in a similar role.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with business units, corporate departments, key managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must have reliable transportation

The primary product produced is an ultra-low Sulphur (less than 15 parts per million Sulphur) diesel for the transportation and stationary engine markets across Western Canada.
