Please visit the ESG web site at www.esgsolutions.com for more information.Job DescriptionThe IT Manager will be responsible for directing and managing a 24/7 IT operation & infrastructure, supervising and guiding other IT staff, planning and implementing IT projects, and overseeing cloud and on-premise IT infrastructure. In addition, this individual will serve as a subject matter expert for technical resources and help IT staff support and maintain the IT environment, including cloud, security, networking, virtualization, servers, firewall and endpoints.The IT Manager is also responsible for collaborating with other business areas to implement and establish strategic plans, policies, tools, and procedures to improve the core businesss success.Essential duties include:

• Direct and manage IT operations & Infrastructure (on-prem and cloud)
• Manage M365 environment (Exchange, O365, Teams, SharePoint, Security, Licensing)
• Analyze and support business needs and develop corporate plans and processes
• Advise and manage the implementation of new technologies
• Lead IT projects
• Manage documentation and continuous improvement of department policies and procedures. Ensure all processes are maintained, reviewed, and updated regularly.
• Continuously analyze the existing process, technologies to identify areas of improvement
• Liaison with vendors
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery process
• Support and maintenance of IT operations of multiple systems
• Manage and maintain vendors relationship to negotiate prices and ensure services and products are delivered following the business requirement
• Direct and prioritize the workload of subordinate personnel
• Plan, organize and direct IT functional and technical activities to meet or exceed established business goals
• Ensure IT security complies with global organization standards
• Monitoring the organizations networks and systems to identify violations and security breaches
• Manage IT budget (CAPEX, OPEX) and ensuring cost-effectiveness
• Ensure consistency and maintainability of IT documentation and enforcing standards and procedures
• Managing and continuous mentoring and training of IT team in new technologies, organization infrastructures
• Cover after hours On-Call support when IT staff are on vacation

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in any IT-related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Information, etc.)
• IT certificates professional and associate level (MCSA, CCNA/CCNP, PMP, ITIL, CISSP, AWS, Azure, M365)
• 7+ years of experience in IT systems administration
• 2+ years of experience leading IT projects and Infrastructure
• Experience managing cloud environment (AWS/Azure)
• Proficient working knowledge of Windows Server environment (AD, DHCP, DNS, GPO)
• In-depth knowledge of networking and TCP/IP
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite (Apps, Exchange, Teams, Sharepoint/Onedrive, Licensing)
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and hardware/software systems
• Ability to design IT systems and solutions using industry best-practice
• Project management experience (waterfall or agile). Must be able to handle multiple ongoing projects
• Experience with Backup processes and tools
• Experience in managing and maintain IT assets inventory and documentation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experiencing in support and maintain SQL Server
• Comprehensive understanding of Cloud infrastructure and architecture (AWS/Azure)
• Some datacenter management exposure would be an asset
• ISO 27001 knowledge is an asset
• Critical thinking-being cost-conscious, thinking of better ways of doing things, striving for continuous improvement
• Leadership-Demonstrating experience in managing strategies. Being able to delegate responsibility, empowering, designating, assigning tasks
• Planning and Organizing/Time Management-Efficiently planning ahead, managing time well, being on time
• Resourcefulness-Being able to recognize opportunities, find and use available resources, to stay up to date on newer technology and trends, always being knowledgeable of where to find things and who to ask
• Teamwork-Establishing and maintaining a cooperative work relationship
