Qualifications:

• Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program.
• Requires 3-5 years of experience as a Kinesiologist.
• Registered with the College of Kinesiologists in Ontario.
• Specialization in Occupational Rehabilitation and Workwell/ Functional Training is an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Combined role consisting of management work as well as a clinical component.
• Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
• Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and work hardening programs.
• Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
• Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis.
• Responsible for the marketing and growth of the kinesiology department through analysis of the stakeholders to create a strategic marketing plan with the assistance of the clinic director.
• Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
• Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients.
• Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge.
• Ensure return-to-work plans with the client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart.
