Where an EE gap exists at the time of appointment, EE may be used as an appointment criterion for permanent and temporary appointments/staffing actions over six months made through this process.Key Activities of the job being staffed:

  • Receives, verifies, inventories, stores, issues, distributes, ships and disposes of materiel.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail including counting and recording of all remittances.
  • Maintains statistics on incoming and outgoing mail volumes and inputs mail and materiel management data into the Agency corporate administrative system.
  • Reports damages, shortages and deterioration of materiel.
  • Picks up classified waste from clients and prepares for destruction.
  • Dismantles, moves and erects office enclosures and provides basic maintenance, moving, and storage services.
  • Operates materiel handling equipment, e.g. motorized or non-motorized forklifts, and drives light and heavy vehicles.
  • Provides guidance to Agency clients regarding materiel handling and mail services.
The pools established from this staffing process may be used to staff similar positions.The successful candidates will be required to physically report in-office full time to one of the following locations.
  • Kingston (102-1475 John Counter Boulevard)
  • Belleville (11 Station Street)
  • Peterborough (1161 Crawford Drive)

  • Experience* gained in a work environment using all of the following Microsoft Office applications:
    • Microsoft Outlook (may include but is not limited to email, calendar, and producing correspondence)
    • Microsoft Excel (may include but is not limited to transferring/entering data and spreadsheets)
    • Microsoft Word (may include but is not limited to transferring/entering data, producing correspondence, and documents)
AND
  • Experience* working in a mailroom or shipping/receiving environment where the use of material handling equipment was required as a job function.
AND
  • Experience* providing customer service in mail and general services, or in a clerical and/or administrative support role.
  • Experience is normally associated with the performance of these functions as part of the major job duties accomplished for a period of 6 cumulative months within the last 3 years.
