Job Description

Supply Clerk, Materials ManagementPart Time$24.06-$25.22 Reference#: 22-342AThe Supply Clerk provides supply chain management services including replenishing, distributing, monitoring and receivinggoods and services necessary for the operation of Providence Care sites. The Supply Clerk performs their duties inaccordance with organizational and department policies and procedures and health and safety guidelines, standards andlegislation.Role Responsibilities

  • Receive, unpack and replenish goods
  • Deliver goods to requesting departments
  • Co-ordinate shipping of goods including packing shipment, preparation of required paperwork and co-ordination
with appropriate shipping vendors
  • Record appropriate shipping and receiving documentations (such as bill of ladings) and maintaining the
documentation in departmental filing system
  • Enter pertinent transactions in Materiel Management software such as issues, receipt confirmations, shipments,
returns, transfers and adjustments as required
  • Co-ordinate shipping for service/maintenance for Providence Care owned equipment
  • Maintaining paper copy of MSDS Database within Receiving department
  • Adhere to organizational and departmental health, safety and infection control guidelines
  • Practice and promote safe work habits utilizing proper equipment and lifting techniques to ensure safety and
minimize risk of injury
  • Participate as an active member in departmental staff meetings and where elected, Joint Health and Safety
Committee meetings
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with department staff and management to support and promote a positive
work environment for department staff
  • Perform follow up on outstanding / overdue orders as required
  • Participate in inventory management functions such as cycle counts, annual physical inventory, stock rotation
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalency with demonstrated proficiency in written and oral English language
skills and exercising judgement and basic problem solving
  • Six months full-time (or equivalent hours) related warehouse, distribution, and receiving experience to include
