  • providing operational technical guidance and support to end users database maintenance
  • providing second level technical and end user support to system users, such as technical assistance in use of applications, diagnosing and resolving user problems with software, hardware and networks
  • maintaining, creating and modifying specialized programs within the office
  • providing expertise and advice regarding Information Technology programs functions/designs to help meet business and program goals and objectives
How do I qualifyTechnical Knowledge and ExperienceYou have:
  • knowledge of mainframe and micro/personal computer technologies (e.g. operation systems, application software, standard and commonly used software, networks)
  • knowledge of hardware/peripherals installation and cabling to: assist in installation, configurations and testing of system hardware
  • knowledge of communications and database management software
  • experience performing troubleshooting and providing end user support
  • knowledge of database concepts and systems development methods and techniques
  • experience developing and implementing enhancements and fixes to systems
  • the ability to acquire and apply knowledge of program objectives and business goals
  • the ability to acquire and apply knowledge of clients business, processes and requirements
Analytical and Problem-Solving SkillsYou have:
  • problem solving skills to analyze the requirements of end user and methods to accomplish same and provide technical support.
  • analytical skills to assess end user problems and provide solution
  • analytical and evaluative skills to recommend enhancements to branch systems and develop test data
  • investigative skills to gather information on technical problems, recommend solutions and outline option risks
  • experience diagnosing system malfunctions and implementing corrective actions
  • experience evaluating potential impact of proposed changes on existing system and network performance
Communication and Consultation Skills:You can:
  • explain technical recommendations and requirements to non-technical users and decision-makers
  • develop and edit various documents (e.g. project reports, end user operating instructions, training manuals, correspondence to clients)
  • provide training to management staff and clients
Project Management Skills:You have:
  • knowledge of project planning methodology to develop and implement project plans
  • the ability to acquire and apply knowledge of program objectives and business goals
  • the ability to acquire and apply knowledge of clients business, processes and requirements
