Job Description

Title: Assistant Warehouse ManagerReports to: Warehouse ManagerBased at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, OntarioType of Employment: Full time, permanent, extended hours depending on workload and priorities, which will include Saturdays, and possible Sundays.Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with managing the daily operations of a produce packing warehouse which will include production, quality, shipping, receiving, inventory control, commodity planning and maintenance
  • Ensure all production orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to company quality standards
  • Constant monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPl’s)
  • Provide guidance to Supervisors, Line Leaders, and production staff to maintain performance, employee relations, awareness of business context/profitability as well as training/development of staff members
  • Meet regularly with warehouse staff to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention
  • Support the Warehouse Manager to ensure the operation remains within budget for labor and throughput;
  • Monitor and measure performance to minimize downtime, reduce costs and improve quality and efficiencies
  • Monitor and enforce warehouse food safety, health and safety, and security programs and activities.
  • Monitor and enforce company policies, procedures, and applicable industry policies and regulations
  • Overseeing main PAC facility when manager is off site at different facilities.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships
  • Problem solve, negotiate, and address staff challenges
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a produce or food & beverage environment; operations management experience is considered an asset
  • Must have strong problem solving skills, solution driven with the ability to execute
  • Must have strong time management skills with emphasis on meeting deadlines
  • Experience with warehouse and inventory management systems (WMS)
  • Experience in leading and managing a team
  • Highly energetic and assertive with strong leadership skills
  • Excellent, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft offices programs
Physical Abilities: Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy material (up to 50 lbs.). Must be able to climb stairs and stand for extended periods of time. As our facilities are temperature controlled to approximately 55°F or 13°C, must be able to work in that environment.Job Requirements: The incumbent will be committed to customer service excellence and leading by example.
