Gibraltars common stock is a component of the S&P SmallCap 600 and the Russell 2000® Index.Position SummaryThe HR Generalist will be responsible for executing a variety of essential operational and administrative functions for the division. As an important member of the HR team, this individual will contribute to the achievement of HR goals and division strategic objectives by performing and supporting the following:
  • Provides first-tier HR customer service. Resolves or escalates inquiries and requests from employees, applicants, managers, and external suppliers and resources.
  • Handles routine benefits administration and payroll tasks. Works closely with leadership, benefit vendors, and payroll professionals to support participants, implement changes, and address issues.
  • Plays a key role in maintaining HR systems and records data. Enters, updates, and tracks applicable employee information and documentation.
Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)HR Customer ServiceRespond to routine internal and external Human Resources related inquiries or requests, including employment verifications.Distributes requests to the appropriate next-level resource, as necessary. Seeks to remedy all issues in a timely manner.Ensures all HR communications, including signage, forms, and compliance documentation are current, accurate, and engaging.Benefits Administration and Payroll SupportAssists benefits leadership by fielding initial participant inquiries. Provides proper documentation and direction to plan providers, as appropriate.Organizes and administers annual benefits open enrollment activities. Drafts plan and enrollment materials for employees and new hires.Addresses employee questions associated with pay discrepancies or clarifications, garnishments, withholding changes, or related payroll events.Assist Payroll Specialist: which includes checking timekeeping records, data entry, as well as changes in information/payroll.Completes dependent management procedures, eligibility reviews, and communication with internal or external benefit plan professionals.Recordkeeping and HRISEnters, updates, and maintains confidential employee and applicant data into a suite of HR systems. Establishes and retains process documentation for data management processes, audits, and reviews.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Ensures required employment law posters, signage, and employee communication meet regulatory requirements.Monitors and reports on electronic and hard-copy document retention policies.
