Job Description

POSITION & HOURS:Full Time, Permanent, Day, Weekend, On-call44 to 50 Hours / WeekSALARY & BENEFITS:Based on experienceDisability benefits, Medical benefits, Dental benefits, Group insurance benefits, Life insurance benefits.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY:Overall responsibilityAssist the Maintenance Manager to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently in the Maintenance Department.Key areas of responsibilityProvide support and solutions to all members of the Maintenance Department.Perform routine check-up, logging, monitoring of CHP Engines & balance of plant.Perform and assist G.E. Technician in routine maintenance of CHP Engines and balance of plant.Perform routine maintenance and repairs to leachate systems, irrigation, maintain records.Assist in electrical tasks, as directed and overseen by Maintenance Electrician.Ensure all necessary calibration procedures are completed on equipment as scheduled; maintain records.Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned by applicable Manager(s).Assist with purchasing required by the Maintenance Department, as needed.Monitor alarm systems.Scheduled on-call duties, as required.Assist with the Maintenance Coordinator Software Program, as required.Assist with determining and setting preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment; verify completion; maintain complete records.Review equipment needs and opportunities for improvement.Assist with ensuring all employees in the Maintenance Department are trained to perform their jobs properly.Assist with ensuring that the Maintenance Department conforms to all Food Safety, Quality Management System and Health & Safety requirements.Attendance and participation in all required meetings.Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.Maintain confidentiality regarding all projects, property and intellectual property of the company.Report all discrepancies and breaches of any and all company procedures, protocols and integrity.Follow all Food Safety, Quality Management System and Health & Safety requirements.Obey all general job training instructions, safe work practices and procedures.SPECIFIC SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:Forklift LicenseDiploma/Certificate5+ year relevant experienceLeadership skills, ability to be objectiveOrganizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, as well as part of a teamFlexible, ReliableGreat Northern welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.Accommodations are available on request from candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.Quick Apply
