Job Description

Title: Repack Quality LeadReports to: Quality ManagerBased at: Mucci Pac, Kingsville, ONType of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6 days a week (as required); and some additional hours which may include Sundays, depending on workload and priorities.Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Routinely monitors, verifies and provides direction to Quality team on their accuracy of finished product reporting and alignment with customer specifications
  • Ensures all quality specifications are accurate and being utilized by employee’s while performing quality duties
  • Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to input and output quality of finished products, packaging and labelling, and shipping of fresh produce.
  • Identify and communicate any issues to management.
  • Uphold the company standard of Food Safety and Environmental Health and Safety while identifying gaps and educating employee’s
  • Act as liaison between Production Supervisors and Line Leaders lead the QA repack lines
  • Ensure compliance with USDA and CFIA policies and procedures
  • Ensures constant communication with production team on product output quality
· Responsible for directing the workflow for the Repack Quality team· Identifying the daily needs and organizing the team to ensure production is completed in a timely manner· Provide coverage within the Quality Department when needed· Any additional tasks as requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience within the Produce industry
  • Must have strong time management skills with emphasis on meeting deadlines
  • Highly energetic and assertive with strong leadership skills
  • Excellent, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with CFIA considered an asset
  • Secondary language skills are considered an asset
Physical Abilities:
  • Must be physically fit and able to repetitively lift heavy material (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Must be able to climb stairs and stand for extended periods of time.
  • As our facilities are temperature controlled to approximately 52°F or 11°C, must be able to work in that environment.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
