At Megawire & Waterloo Wireless, our financial success is fueled by the accuracy of our facts and figures. We’d like to add a Book Keeper / Accountant to support our finance team with daily operations. Our ideal candidate has a natural passion for math and an eagerness to learn more about financial planning, tax planning, and budgeting.This is a part-time position with the possibility of full-time. Early or late start times, the ability to work from home when needed.Objectives of this Role· Perform routine clerical accounting duties within the fast-paced finance department, while adhering to established accounting standards.· Managing accounts payable and receivable.· Assist in year-end audit requests.· Execute accurate reporting, filing, and database management in multiple systems.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities· Verify and post details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers and databases.· Process journal entries, and reconcile bank statements & credit cards in comparison to the general ledger.· Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by analyzing information from the general ledger system.· Review and balance internal accounts, analyze variances, prepare appropriate reports, and monitor depreciable assets with financial software.· Match, batch, and code vendor invoices· Prepare and interpret financial summaries and provide management reports daily/weekly/monthly.· Participate promptly in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, sales tax computations, and other accounting duties.· Process, file and pay government remittances and meet deadlines.Skills and Qualifications· Proficiency with math.· Knowledge of financial, tax, and accounting principles.· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.· Proficient in Microsoft Office with the aptitude to learn new systems.· Ability to work with no supervision.Experience1 - 2 years of clerical accounting experience minimum.Job Types: Permanent, Part-timeSalary: $19.00-$35.00 per hourBenefits:
